Raptors crash in Game 5 of NBA Eastern final

CLEVELAND—It began immediately and it was incessant, unrelenting, and the Toronto Raptors were powerless to stop something they knew was coming.

They had talked about having to match the intensity of the Cleveland Cavaliers from the opening tip in Game 6 of the NBA Eastern Conference, fully aware the intensity would be off the charts from the moment the game began.

They simply couldn’t handle it.

The Cavaliers, with a game even more dominant than the first two of this series, routed Toronto 116-78 at the Quicken Loans Arena to take a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series.
