ST. JOHN’S, Canada—Following a successful first half to the season with the Liverpool under-23s, Liam Millar has signed a half-season loan with League One outfit Charlton Atheltic.
The Canadian international thrived in 2020 on the left-wing for the Liverpool academy team, scoring five goals and adding three assists in fourteen appearances across all competitions while also serving as club captain on several occasions.
Capped eight times for his country, the importance of getting regular first-team minutes to keep his stock high within the Canadian camp likely played a big role in the forward’s decision to head to Charlton.
