Jordan Romano found his way back to the Blue Jays organization after being selected in the Rule 5 draft earlier this season. It is safe to say the brain trust won’t leave the right-hander unprotected again as the 26-year old has impressed and may even be tabbed for the closer’s role in the near future.
Romano is making his way back from an oblique injury that sidelined him for the past month otherwise he would be on the major league roster. The reliever pitched a scoreless ninth inning for the Bisons on Tuesday and could be back in the Jays bullpen sooner than later.
