Compared to last season, University of Toledo cornerback Justin Clark said there is one big, albeit intangible, difference with the Rockets’ defense.
“Everybody just trusts each other,” Clark said this week. “We're all a lot closer, we're counting on each other to do their job. We have a great coaching staff. Coach [Vince] Kehres and coach [Craig Kuligowski], they put us in the best position to make plays. When you have that along with great effort and trust, good stuff can happen.”
So far, the stats show a noted improvement in just about every facet of the game for the Rockets on the defensive side of the ball.
