Toledo receiver Mitchell playing with newfound maturity

If you look at Toledo receiver Bryce Mitchell’s performance in the Rockets’ game against Ball State, it’s a far cry from the 2019 matchup.

This year, in what ended up being a 27-24 loss for Toledo, the Bowsher High School graduate had 94 yards — a season high — and made two touchdown catches for the second time in his career. Both of his catches came in the fourth quarter as the Rockets rattled off 15 points and nearly completed a comeback.

In 2019, however, the then-junior found himself on the bench for a large portion of the game.
