Bowling Green, Ohio - Toledo's track and field team wrapped up day one of the Mid-American Conference Championships hosted by Bowling Green today. Toledo earned three top-10 finishes and is tied for ninth overall with Central Michigan.
The top finishers for the Rockets were sophomore Athena Welsh and junior Jennifer Lichter in the 5,000-meter run. Welsh earned fifth place, finishing in 16:50.55. Lichter finished seventh, crossing in at 16:59.44. Stephanie Sherman also ran the 5,000, earning 17th with a time of 17:36.41.
UT's other top-10 finish came in the distance medley. The team of freshman Michelle Hostettler, senior Dandadeua Da Silva, junior Olivia Chinn and senior Stephanie Barlow earned eighth with a time of 12:09.
