Bradley's buzzer-beater sinks Toledo men in season opener

CINCINNATI — In a game that was back-and-forth for most of the second half, Bradley’s Terry Nolan, Jr., hit a short, off-balanced shot with 0.8 second remaining to give the Braves a 61-59 victory Wednesday afternoon over the University of Toledo men’s basketball team in the Xavier Invitational.

The game was the season opener for both teams.

Toledo led 28-20 at halftime, but Bradley went on an 11-4 run in the first 5:05 of the second half to close the gap. The Braves took their first lead with 12:47 to go on a Ville Tahvanainen 3-pointer, leading to four more lead changes and two ties before the game was decided.
