Toledo men’s basketball will be without its starting center indefinitely.

Sophomore AJ Edu is out indefinitely, according to head coach Tod Kowalczyk. Edu hasn’t played since he was injured in Toledo’s game against Oakland in the Xavier Invitational last week.

Edu was averaging 7.0 rebounds at the time of his injury. He did not play last season, and took a medical redshirt after suffering a knee injury. In the 2018-19 season as a true freshman, Edu averaged 3.6 points and 3.9 rebounds, playing an average of 14.3 minutes.

In Edu’s place, Toledo has started Jonathan Komagum, a transfer from Williston State.
