Texas Tech's quarterback depth continues to take hits this spring, with junior Colt Garrett announcing Thursday that he has entered his name in the NCAA transfer portal.
Garrett made two appearances last season as a redshirt sophomore, one of four quarterbacks on the roster. He was a member of the travel squad for every road game and completed his first career pass attempt on a 44-yard touchdown to wide receiver Erik Ezukamna against Lamar in Week 2. The other game he appeared in was against Kansas on Sept. 20.
As a redshirt freshman in 2017, Garrett appeared under center in Tech's win over Kansas but did not account for any pass attempts.
