General manager Jon Daniels was careful at Fan Fest on Saturday at Globe Life Park not to spread false hope. Daniels said there are some possibilities, primarily pitchers, on the free-agent and trade markets, but the Rangers will not make a reactionary move in an attempt to cut into the 23-game gap between them and the Astros in the American League West last season.
