The Texas Rangers announced on Monday that they optioned right-handed reliever Marc Church and infielder Justin Foscue to Triple-A Round Rock.
Foscue, 27, missed three weeks of spring training because of a muscle strain. Even if he hadn't been injured, it seemed unlikely he'd make the Opening Day roster, with Ezequiel Durán, Sam Haggerty and Tyler Wade presumably higher in the pecking order. Foscue should still be in the big leagues at some point in 2026, barring a serious injury.
As for Church, the 24-year-old righty should also be in the big leagues later in the season.
