40-36 - Mazara’s legendary blast not enough as Rangers fall 5-4 in 10 to White Sox

Tonight’s game was kind of an odd one because the score was 4-3 after two and a half innings and featured two struggling starters with the ball seemingly flying out of the park.

Before it could become a full fledged American League slugfest, however, both teams decided to stop scoring runs and the game stalled out at the same score one-run score until Danny Santana tied things at four apiece in the bottom of the seventh with an RBI single.

The Rangers didn’t score again and then the White Sox scored the winning run in the tenth inning on the most National League kind of play imaginable: a safety squeeze.
