A very important win for the Texas Football was delivered over the Texas Tech Red Raiders that kicked off in the late morning of Black Friday, Nov. 29. Texas got the best of first-year head coach Matt Wells and his Red Raiders by the final score of 49-24 at home at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium to head into the postseason with momentum. Head Texas football coach Tom Herman also alleviated some of the pressure surrounding him and his coaching staff heading into this weekend too.
Yet, it wasn’t a quote from Herman or anyone on the coaching staff for the Texas Longhorns football program that made headlines after the win over Texas Tech.
