If the Texas basketball program makes it all the way to the beginning of the 2019-20 regular season without landing a single commitment, then it would be a valid time for concern. But it is no time to panic now that the 2020 Texas basketball recruiting class is without a pledge. Numerous solid power conference basketball programs are in the same boat as Texas right now.
However, it is not too early to point out the positional needs that head Texas basketball coach Shaka Smart could very well need to tackle in his 2020 recruiting class. At the moment, it appears that the Texas Longhorns basketball program is going to need help upgrading the backcourt rotation.
