The NBA Draft did have interesting selections, especially among the international prospects, in the latter portion of the first round and all throughout the second round. Due to four or five reaches for second round-caliber prospects late in the first round of the June 20 NBA Draft, there was a ton of value talent that fell well within the second round picks. Yet, one Texas basketball product was also left on the outside looking in, with former senior shooting guard Kerwin Roach Jr.
Entering the 2018-19 regular season, Roach Jr. looked to be out to prove a point that he belonged in the 2019 NBA Draft class as a core piece.
