Kansas State’s top RB didn’t travel to Austin due to injury

AUSTIN, Texas — The leading rusher for the Kansas State Wildcats, Ball State Cardinals graduate transfer James Gilbert, did not travel to Austin for Saturday’s game against the Texas Longhorns at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.

Gilbert also missed the game against Kansas last weekend and leads Kansas State with 100 carries for 558 yards. He’s scored five touchdowns on the ground this season, second on the team behind quarterback Skylar Thompson.

With Gilbert out, Jordon Brown, Harry Trotter, Jacardia Wright and Tyler Burns could all see action.
