The latest issue of Dave Campbell’s Texas Football is on shelves, and former Texas Longhorns quarterback turned SMU Mustangs starter Shane Buechele is on the cover.
As a junior last season for the Mustangs, Buechele passed for 3,929 yards, with 34 touchdowns, 10 interceptions and a 62.7 completion percentage. “When [Buechele is] done with his NFL career [Burnt Orange Nation’s emphasis, not his], he’s going to come back to Dallas and then I think he’s going to start making the real money because of who he is, what he’s done and the way he’s handled himself,” SMU head coach Sonny Dykes told 247Sports last month.
