While he might have slipped a bit in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft, former Texas Longhorns center Mohamed Bamba wound up as a great value pick for the Orlando Magic. Many expected Bamba not to slip past the Dallas Mavericks at No. 5, but that pick was traded to the Atlanta Hawks.
The situation surrounding the front court of the Magic is sure to be shaken up by Bamba’s arrival. Rumors were swirling around the potential departure of former Arizona Wildcats power forward Aaron Gordon. Yet, the Magic continue to match his offer and sheet and give him ongoing interest in bringing him back into the mix again in 2018-19.
