Why tight end Jace Sternberger was Texas A&M's breakout player of the spring

Those from within and on the outside could likely agree who Texas A&M's spring breakout player was -- tight end Jace Sternberger.

Sternberger being named A&M's Team MVP for the spring at halftime of the Aggies' spring game spoke for itself. The 6-5, 240-pound JUCO transfer backed up his honors on the field during the Maroon & White Game, reeling in a game-high eight receptions for 147 yards and two touchdowns.

"You can see why he was our MVP of the spring," A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher said after the spring game. "He's kind of done that everyday and he's been a workhorse as far as his attitude, his work ethic, everything, every day he brings it.
