'We all don't want to play 70 plays': How Texas A&M's freshmen class is making its mark with SEC play ahead

COLLEGE STATION -- Almost everything Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin has done since the end of last season is geared toward addressing one problem -- finding ways to win November.

In each of the last three seasons, the Aggies have struggled to win during the last half of the season. It's one of the reasons why Sumlin championed the hire of new strength coach Mark Hocke during the offseason.

Several A&M freshmen will be making their SEC debuts at 11 a.m. Saturday in the conference opener against Arkansas (1-1) at AT&T Stadium.

An unintended consequence of a rebuilding year for the Aggies could help Sumlin solve the issue that threatens his future in College Station -- building a program that plays a complete season.
