This was an ugly game. As far as the SEC was concerned it didn’t matter which team won this game, the result spoke volumes on its own. Neither Texas A&M or Florida is a College Football Playoff contender. Neither of those teams are contenders in their own conference. These are two mediocre football teams that do some things well and a lot of other things poorly.
That’s true of 12 SEC teams. Auburn was the only non-Georgia, non-Alabama team that could make any argument they were better than mediocre. They were upset on Saturday by a LSU team that lost to Troy but beat this Florida team.
