One of Texas A&M's starting offensive linemen to play for his father at Syracuse

One of Texas A&M's starting offensive linemen from last season will be playing in New York next season.

Koda Martin will play for Syracuse in 2018 as a graduate transfer, he announced on his Twitter account Thursday evening.

The Manvel product started 10 of 13 games during his junior season, with all of those starts coming at left tackle.

Martin has very strong family ties at Syracuse. Martin's father-in-law is Syracuse coach Dino Babers. His father, Kirk, was recently hired as an assistant at Syracuse following a long stint as Manvel's coach.

Martin practiced with A&M's first-team offense as the starting left tackle during spring football.
