Tennessee football: Photo gallery from Vols embarrassing loss to Missouri

Jeremy Pruitt and Butch Jones have something in common after Missouri walked out of Neyland Stadium with a 50-17 over the Vols. The Tigers dropped 50 points on the Vols in back-to-back seasons which rarely happens to Tennessee. Actually, maybe it’s never happened until Missouri.

I went all the way back to the days of J.A. Pierce, and there hasn’t been another example of a team scoring 50 on the Vols in back-to-back seasons. Alabama has a chance to do it next season after their 58-21 win. There were a couple of teams to drop at least 40 points in back-to-back seasons, but never 50 points.
