Even after the coup of hiring Jim Chaney combined with a few recruiting success that have happened recently, it’s not all roses for Tennessee football during this offseason. Plenty of things could give you cause to pause.
Based on what happened in 2018, there are numerous reasons for concern about the 2019 Vols. These things existed right as the season ended, and the hire of Chaney really just alleviated an extra concern.
Remember, this is a team that went 5-7 and lost six games by 25 or more points last year. So no matter how you splice it, Tennessee football is still not in a good place based on actual results.
