After last week’s loss to Florida, Tennessee now must bounce back fast. For the Vols in recent years, that’s been easier said than done.
In each of the past two seasons, the Vols had similar heartbreaking losses, to Oklahoma in 2015 and to Texas A&M in 2016. And both times, Tennessee didn’t respond well.
No one is expecting a loss against UMass (0-4), one of the weakest FBS programs in the nation. But if the Vols can’t turn things around in the two games after that, against Georgia and South Carolina, the 2017 season could get ugly in a hurry.
