Barring something unforeseen happening, this will likely be quarterback Marcus Mariota‘s last season with the Tennessee Titans. The writing was on the wall for this once the team replaced him with fellow quarterback Ryan Tannehill in Week 6.
Should Mariota move on from Nashville in 2020, he’ll be looking to sign as a free agent with a team that gives him the best chance to start and succeed, whether that be right away or at some point next season.
As I wrote yesterday, he needs to follow the blueprint of Tannehill, which is to find a team that has a vulnerability at quarterback.
