PHILADELPHIA -- Temple senior Feyonda Fitzgerald again grabbed weekly accolades, earning a spot on the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll.
Fitzgerald had another monster week, averaging 24.5 points, 5.5 assists, and 3.0 rebounds as the Owls went 1-1 and clinched at least a share of the Big 5 title. The guard opened the week with a heroic effort at Hampton, scoring 29 points with five rebounds and three assists, as a fourth quarter rally fell just short. On Saturday, Fitzgerald scored 20 points with eight assists, as the Owls recorded their largest ever win over Villanova to clinch at least a share of the Big 5 title.
