The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially placed K John Lunsford on waivers Monday.
This shouldn’t come as a big surprise, especially now that the Buccaneers added some competition for Roberto Aguayo this summer by recently signing Nick Folk to a contract.
Lunsford, 23, originally signed on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Liberty back in May of last year. He was, unfortunately, waived during the preseason and sat out all of 2016.
The Buccaneers signed him to a future/reserve contract a few months ago.
