For the second straight year, Syracuse football starting quarterback Eric Dungey has been named to the 2018 Maxwell Award Watch list.
For those who are unaware, the Maxwell Award is given annually to the nation’s top player and has been since 1937.
Per the press release, ‘Dungey was one of 41 quarterbacks named to the 85-player watch list for the 2018 Maxwell Award, released Monday, July 16 by the Maxwell Football Club. The award is named in honor of Robert W. “Tiny” Maxwell.’
This is not hyperbole, Dungey is one of the most accomplished quarterbacks in program history.
