NEW ORLEANS — Troy clinched the Sun Belt West Division—and a berth into the 2025 Credit Union 1 Sun Belt Football Championship presented by Visit Pensacola—for the third time in four seasons, earning a date with nationally-ranked Sun Belt East Division champion James Madison at 7:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. CT on Friday, Dec. 5, on ESPN.
Four other teams—Georgia Southern, Arkansas State, Texas State and Louisiana—clinched bowl eligibility to run the total of Sun Belt bowl-eligible teams to nine. For the fourth-straight year, the Sun Belt will lead the non-autonomy conferences in Bowl Season representation.
