Sometimes, it flies. Sometimes, it’s freezes. Sometimes, suddenly, it gets all stacked up.

For evidence, see the kickoff of the Cardinals’ virtual Winter Warm-Up Friday night, when the band from 2011 got back together for the purpose of celebrating a rather significant number: 10.

This upcoming season marks the 10th since then-manager Tony La Russa’s 2011 Cardinals turned a 90-win, second-place, wild-card finish into a World Series championship run that should be remembered forever. And it will be remembered forever, of course, because teams that win rings, especially here in St. Louis, get the time-capsule treatment. They get reunions every 10, 25 and 50 years.
