Former Sweden coach Jon Dahl Tomasson has held discussions with Norwich City over becoming their next manager.
The Canaries sacked Liam Manning last weekend after defeat to Leicester City left them second from bottom of the Championship.
The move comes as disgruntled fans start a petition to oust 36-year-old sporting director Ben Knapper who is leading the interview process.
Knapper is understood to have already met with Gary O'Neil who rejected a return to Wolves and has also figured in Middlesbrough's discussions over a new boss. Former Southampton manager Will Still is another contender Knapper has spoken to.
