Re-shuffled USF o-line draws raves in debut

OCTAVIO JONES | Times

After months of mixing and matching, followed by a couple of games of trial and error, the Bulls finally appear to have found a solid starting five up front.

After two games at right guard, the Bulls slid senior Cameron Ruff back to center -- where he started all 13 games last season -- and plugged in redshirt sophomore Billy Atterbury at guard. The result: 376 rushing yards and nine explosive plays (20-plus yards) in a 47-23 romp of Illinois.

USF logged nine or more explosive plays only twice last season (Memphis, UCF).
