PROVIDENCE, R.I. DEC. 17, 2018 – On the heels of a performance that saw him post his fourth double-double of the season with 13 points and a career-high 18 rebounds, USF redshirt freshman Alexis Yetna was selected as the American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Yetna (Paris) exploded for 11 rebounds in the first half Saturday against Appalachian State and grabbed seven more in the second half to surpass his previous career-best total of 17 he collected earlier this season against Georgetown. He currently owns the two highest single-game rebounding performances in The American this season and paces the conference and ranks 17th in the NCAA in rebounding with 10.
