Jags Stay Perfect Against Southern Miss with Senior Day Win

MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Football sent its seniors out with a big-time victory, defeating Southern Miss 42-35 Saturday night at Hancock Whitney Stadium

The win moved the Jaguars to 4-7 on the season with a 3-4 record in Sun Belt Conference play. South also stayed perfect against Southern Miss, improving its record against the Golden Eagles to 6-0.

KEY MOMENTS

  • Keenan Phillips opened the scoring at the end of the first quarter to give the Jags a 7-0 lead in the game. Phillips scored on a run from 13 yards out to put the first points on the board
  • Kentrel Bullock found the end zone minutes into the second quarter to cap a 63-yard drive and put the Jaguars up two scores.
