Reports: Seattle Mariners bring back pitcher Taijuan Walker on one-year contract

It appears that pitcher Taijuan Walker is returning to the Seattle Mariners.

Walker has signed a one-year deal with the club worth $2 million that can reach $3 million with performance bonuses, according to a report Wednesday from ESPN. The 27-year-old right hander began his big league career in Seattle, and now will return.

The Mariners have yet to make an official announcement, but Walker was seen in the team’s clubhouse during the first day of spring training Wednesday, according to The Seattle Times. And he later confirmed the news of his return on social media.
