A squad full of high level AHL talent and minimum veteran presence lit up a very young Anaheim Ducks team in their 5-0 win at SAP Center tonight.
Competition for a roster spot can sometimes be a good thing. The offense tonight was explosive, especially in the four-goal second period. Contributions came from Daniel O’Regan and Kevin Labanc, who are at the top of the list for making the big club out of the preseason. Filip Sandberg, Rudolfs Balcers, and Sasha Chmelevski helped spur the offense, with a goal coming from Sandberg in the first period.
