Two Oakland A’s stars named to inaugural All-MLB team at Winter Meetings

SAN DIEGO — The Oakland A’s have all their attention focused on the 2020 season at this year’s Winter Meetings, but two of their best players are still being celebrated for their accomplishments in 2019.

Shortstop Marcus Semien and closer Liam Hendriks were named to the inaugural All-MLB second team on Tuesday at the Winter Meetings in San Diego.

Semien finished third in the American League MVP voting this year behind Angels center fielder Mike Trout and Astros third baseman Alex Bregman, but he wound up behind first-team honoree Xander Bogaerts of the Red Sox on the All-MLB team.
