Good morning, McCoven!

With the Nationals deploying their strategy of mixing and matching their starting pitchers as both starters and relievers (with limited success, so far), I thought today would be a good time for an appreciation post about the G.O.A.T. of postseason pitching heroics.

That’s right, we’re talking Madison Bumgarner in Game 7 of the 2014 World Series. Accept no substitutes.

They keep trying to copy this moment, but so far no one can top it. And that is good, in my opinion. It was special, and historic, and something fans of all teams will always remember.
