No Giants players or coaches have tested positive for COVID-19 since the season began on July 23, but infielder Pablo Sandoval revealed Monday his wife, Yuli, spent time in the emergency room in August as she dealt with coronavirus symptoms.
Sandoval spoke to reporters for the first time this season Monday and said five members in his family showed COVID-19 symptoms before making full recoveries.
“They were sick,” Sandoval said. “My two kids were symptomatic, my wife was real sick and she was taken to the emergency room a couple of times. The rest of the family was symptomatic.
