SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco's Riley Ornido earned Rawlings West Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week honors, announced by the conference office today.
In his start against East Bay rivals, Saint Mary's, Ornido threw another gem as he took a no-hitter into the eighth inning. The first hit for Saint Mary's would come with two outs in the eighth inning with a single to left field. For the second time this season, the sophomore would come out in the ninth inning to try and earn a complete game but, after getting two outs, would be replaced by Brendan Jenkins.
