Steelers vs. 49ers: Week 3 offensive game plan for San Francisco

There’s a budding excitement in the air that’s building for the San Francisco 49ers, winners of their first two games of the season, both multi-touchdown victories on the road.

And it’s with that buildup the Niners enter Week 3 of the 2019 regular season, and welcome the 0-2 Pittsburgh Steelers to Levi’s Stadium. The Steelers are reeling a bit, having been blown out by the New England Patriots to open the year 33-3, and losing to the Seattle Seahawks last weekend 28-26.

Worse yet, Pittsburgh lost starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to an elbow injury early in the Seahawks game, and are left with backup quarterback Mason Rudolph and undrafted rookie Devlin Hodges, recently promoted from its practice squad, as the team’s quarterback duo.
