On Tuesday, Sept. 3, the San Francisco 49ers released their first unofficial depth chart for Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
There is a lot to break down here. But one the most intriguing things is the listing at running back. For the entire offseason, there has been a battle between Matt Breida and Tevin Coleman as to who the starting back would be for the 49ers this season. My colleague broke it down in detail here last week.
Basically, the 49ers brought in Jerick McKinnon before the 2018 season.
