NFL preseason football isn’t always about the team, per se. And the San Francisco 49ers‘ 2019 campaign isn’t so much about wins and losses as it is about the other storylines and tidbits.
Players on the fringe, backups, risers and fallers should make up the majority of the discussion points between now and Week 1 of the regular season.
Although it was comforting to see the Niners pull off a 17-9 preseason win over their longtime rivals, the Dallas Cowboys, last Saturday to open up this exhibition period.
But that game opened up just as many questions as it answered.
