49ers vs. Bengals preview: Nick Bosa impact, matchups and more

Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo needs to have a good game when the San Francisco 49ers visit the 0-1 Cincinnati Bengals in Week 2.

This, after Garoppolo tossed just 166 yards, one touchdown and a pick-six interception during the Niners’ 31-17 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week. Sure, San Francisco’s defense one that game. But the 49ers are pinning their hopes on Garoppolo being the difference maker for the team in 2019.

Cincinnati, meanwhile, dominated the Seattle Seahawks on the road in Week 1, enjoying superiority in almost every stat category except the one that mattered most: points.
