What a season it’s been for San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh.
Despite entering the year on the proverbial hot seat, the energetic coach managed to transform the 49ers’ defense and find himself at the center of head coach discussions by the end of the season.
But fortunately for the 49ers, it appears as though he’ll be staying put in San Francisco for at least another year.
After a disastrous 2018 season, Saleh found himself under plenty of criticism for the 49ers’ defensive woes. But after adding an abundance of Pro Bowl talent in the offseason, the 49ers defense developed into perhaps the best unit in the league.
