49ers OTAs: Garoppolo OK but add Bosa to slew of injured players

SANTA CLARA — Watching Jimmy Garoppolo throw passes on a reconstructed knee actually wasn’t the most jarring sight Tuesday on the 49ers practice field.

Instead, top draft pick Nick Bosa sustained a hamstring injury in linemen drills on Day 2 of organized team activities. He’s got plenty of company on the injury list.

Coach Kyle Shanahan, unsure of the severity of Bosa’s injury, revealed after practice that six players are joining 12 others who won’t be fully cleared for practice until training camp in two months.

Garoppolo, as expected, is on that list, but so are running backs Jerick McKinnon (knee), Matt Breida (pectoral) and Raheem Mostert (forearm); linebacker Fred Warner (knee); and, tight end Garrett Celek (concussion; back).
