The 2019 NFL trade deadline is coming up later this month, and the 5-0 San Francisco 49ers find themselves in a position where they could actually be buyers before all two-team deals have to be finalized.
General manager John Lynch could feasibly see a window for a Super Bowl opening, meaning those blockbuster deals sure can sound appealing in order to improve the roster. And both Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan have never shied away from intentions of improving the roster whenever possible.
But there are plenty of reasons why San Francisco elects not to make the splash deal between now and the deadline.
