San Francisco 49ers rookie defensive end Nick Bosa suffered a "significant" ankle sprain in training camp last week, and will not see any action in the preseason.
"It's a significant ankle sprain," 49ers GM John Lynch said on KNBR. "There's that dreaded high ankle sprain. He doesn't have a full-blown one, but it has some components of that. ... We won't see him in the preseason, and we'll go from there."
Fortunately for 49ers fans, it sounds like the team's top draft pick could be back in time for the team's regular season opener in Tampa Bay.
