Spurs’ Parker predicts November return

SAN ANTONIO – On the eve of the Spurs’ Media Day, a report surfaced that bodes well for point guard Tony Parker returning to the court sooner than expected after he suffered a postseason-ending left quad injury in May.

Parker told L’Equipe that a recent MRI revealed his tendon is healed and that doctors have given him the green light to return to the court.

“I got some good news,” Parker said. “My tendon is healed. I worked a lot and paid (the price).”

Parker said he still needs to get back in shape, a process that presumably would begin when training camp opens Tuesday.
